That one controls your high idle ,timing advance, and the fuel shut off solenoid. There very hard to find at parts stores there's one on eBay for 55 bucks

Are both coolant sensors the same? The one behind my t-stat housing needs replaced.
They're not the same. The sensor behind your thermostat housing controls the cold high-idle/timing advance circuit. It's basically a switch...it makes contact until about 120 F coolant temp, then breaks contact which in turn breaks the circuit.

FWIW there are actually three temp sensors...that one, the one for the coolant temp gauge, and the one for the coolant temp warning light. Both of the other two are on the driver's side cylinder head at the front...the temp sensor's above the warning light sensor.

Hope this helps ;Sweet
