Coolant question

He's saying he only has one line, and wants to know if it's the "fill" or "full" line.

i think i might only have one line as well.it's half way up the tank.this will be the fill to line.no big deal though,if you overfill it she'll just puke for a bit until it no longer goes over lol.

Let me clarify my question. My coolant reservoir only has one line on it. This line is about halfway full on the reservoir. Is it safe to assume this is the cold fill line? I guess I'd say that is better than assuming it's the hot fill line and being low on coolant...

Eh, just fill it halfway and go from there. Lol
Mine is empty because I had a washer fluid mishap awhile back. Lol

See I was gonna say I noticed my reservoir is very low when cold, far below the halfway line. I obviously need to fix this asap but I've never noticed my temp gauge go much above C. I know it's a big engine and takes a while to get up to temp but this was even my observation when driving it up to 20 miles at interstate speeds (2500 RPM). Just kinda hard to believe that at that low of a coolant reservoir level that it could stay well within temp at those operating conditions.

But the factory temp gauge is mostly useless. It could be off.
If it truly is running cold, thermostat could be stuck open.

Yeah. Mine never has had anything in it lol. Maybe I should fix that.

yeah you want your overflow tanks half full after sitting overnight guys.
