Finally getting around to doing this, sure as sh#t the shower heads were broken off, the only thing I'm wondering is what is the best material to use for in tank screens and should it be just wrapped around the fuel line or kind of made into a bsll? Thanks in advance!

If you dropped the tanks rather than pulling the bed, simply clean them out. Soapy water, a bunch of rolling around, immediately dry with a fan or warm sun, reach in and grab whatever bits are left, and then a swish of diesel to keep it from flash rusting. Then you can have an "open" pickup tube in the tank, and just install one of those $6 glass fuel filters with the little replaceable elements upstream before the FSV to catch any future debris that shows up. Much easier to swap one of those instead of pulling your screen out of the tank later on should it become plugged.

edit: Oh, and the screens in those glass buggers are washable. Mine typically last a year before they get too nasty to put back into service. Replacements are cheap too.
