This came in today at work...95 F350 Powerstroke, 5 speed...Engine locked.-cuss


Notice the USDOT number on the side. May have been worked hard, lot of ideling on the roadside too.

Why would you do that to a diesel, just makes no sense to me.

If you have any chances to get any starters for IDI's, let me know. I want a spare riding with me ;Sweet

I meant that would explain why they would be throwing it away. Probably going to fork out $50k for a new one that gets half the economy. Your taxes at work.....

I know what you meant ;) And I meant that it ain't the case with this one. Either way, waste of a decent-looking truck. What most folks don't seem to realize is that engine work is fairly cheap compared to body work, and both of those combined are still cheaper than a lease of a new truck.

Holy crap that thing has an awesome body on it! ***? I thought diesels were not supposed to be accepted under the CFC thing?

Is it 4x4? Can you grab parts off of it? If get the tranny, T-case, and Dana 60.

If so, at least part of it can live on in another Ford diesel.

Well at least the program is expired. for now....

Also heard that they are not destroying the engines anymore. Not sure if its true.
