Anyone know what year Ford first started using the 8 X 6.5 lug pattern on the F250/350's ? I know late 97 was when the went to the 8 X 170 MM.

I would think it was in the mid-late 50s, before that pretty much everything had large 5 and 6 lug wheels.

I know they had them from the 70's I had a 78/79 dana 44 hd axle with the 8 lug outers and it was 8 x 6.5 bolt pattern. The 80's and 90's until the superduty. I think chevy and dodge still have them possibly but not sure off offset or center hole size. Fords usually have bigger holes in the center.

Ford used the 8x6.5 all the to 03 or 04.... (the vans had them) Trucks 50's to 97 and then it was the 8x170mm. Dodge and Chevy still use the 8x6.5

I didn't know the vans had that pattern that new. I figured they just did it all the way across their product line when they switched the trucks. I haven't worked on alot of vans though.
