Maybe someone here knows what this is while driving between 42 and 50 the truck vibrates similar to an out of balance wheel but only at this speed any ideas?

I vote U-Joint as well. The last time my rear U-Joint went, it was between 40-52. Really easy to check, give that driveshaft a shake!

I had the same problem. After taking it in to a local front end shop it turned out to be a track bar bushing. Total cost of repair turned out to be $105.00, part was probably fifty cents...

put it up on jack stands and start it up, this can tell you if its in the drive line or front end.

hold on, nobody asked the important question. where is the "shake"? in the steering wheel or in the seat? if it is in the steering wheel, it isnt a u joint. if u can feel it in your seat, it is the rear of the truck. steering wheel is front.
