12 valve dieing

Hi. Iam new to this site but I have a ? I thought somebody could help me with. I have a 97 4x4 with 87000 miles no mods,[yet] the problem is if I apply power from a dead stop and let off the accelerator rapidly the truck dies, no other problems, very annoying when pulling a trailer . Thanks

what is the idle rpm?

Yes, it starts fine, idles at 750, no running problems just when you start to back a trailer run it up to about 1200 rpm to get it movin then release the throttle quikly it dies, let off gradually no problems has to be something simple thanks

Manual or auto? Have You replaced any parts lately like fuel filter, fuel pump, air filter?
