I am looking at a 03 F350 crew cab with 77k miles on it. What should I be looking for to see if there are motor issues. Isn't this the worst year for these motors? I really want to get a 02 7.3 PS but this truck is pretty nice and the guy might be willing to trade for my stang. I really don't know much of the 6.0 what I do know is that they were junk in 03 and had alot of issues with their heads. LMK your input:hail

Run an OASIS report on it, thats the only true way to find out if it was a problem child.

I have a 03 6.0, it is a great truck, but it does have a cold start problem. the power of it compared to a 7.3 is second to none. I believe my cold start problem is on or more of my injectors. it has 170000 miles with no problems other that the cold start....

Ford has a recent reflash for the computer regarding that cold start. It's called the inductive heat flash, and I hear it's made a world of difference. Since you're out of warranty, it'll probably run you $100.
