    7.3 idi compression test results

    130k miles. Clean truck. I’m losing a bunch of oil.. 4 quarts at 500 miles. So I had a compression test done. I’m wondering if this is enough loss to be concerned about? The truck rocks at idle so running kinda rough, could the compression issue I have cause it? All input is appreciated!

    What is the going rate, reman 6.9/7.3 engine replacement and an injection pump

    Wet Black spray on ground at cold start hard throttle.

    Was doing a comparison test on the engine running at 2k cold to compare timing of two 7.3 non turbo idi’s. When I hit the throttle my son said come look at this and I saw a wet black spray patch like a giant spray paint can shot the ground from the exhaust pipe. Is this normal?

    I have a 1988 f250 idi and it blows some blue clouds when you step on it a little bit. Clean truck, appears to have been taken care of pretty well. Lower mileage 121000. Hoping to come up with a list of things to try in order from easiest to most difficult. All input will be appreciated.

    Check engine light at start up only. Stays on for a few extra seconds sometimes.

    I have a 1988 f250 7.3 idi. The dash engine light comes on at start and takes a few seconds to shut off. Sometimes it even takes an extra 20-30 seconds or so to shut off. Any thoughts? All your input will be appreciated.
