engine dead,ran with loss of power, then ran good again?
I am confused as to what happened. I filled my drivers side tank with 15 gallons(how much does it hold?). I pulled out of the station and truck went 50 feet and lost power. Alternator swap
It's been too cold outside for me to investigate hands on, suppose to warm up this week(I don't have a garage:() I may need a new alternator on my truck. Is it a standard GM 10si or 12si or are they diesel specific. I can pull one from a SBC truck at the local yard or am I wasting my time...- barry

Fuel line sizes?
Does anybody know what size fuel lines (both the feed and return sizes)would be used on an '83 3/4 ton with the 6.2. My feed line is rubber from the tank to the engine...not quite factory stylecookoo I assume diesel lines are larger than gas lines, am I correct?- barry

Dead battery question
'83 3/4 ton with 6.2 has new batteries, new alt, new starter, all cables are new except for one ground cable. volt meter seemed to be low last night(never noticed if it worked right anyway), slow to crank this morning but it did. Had to jump start it after work, won't start right after i...- barry

Turbo 400 bolt size?
Anybody know what size bolts to use to bolt the flex plate cover back onto a Th400 behind a 6.2? Mine had the cover in the bed when I bought it and I need to put it back on. Thanks for the help?- barry

Changing gauges from export truck
My '83 GMC 3/4 truck was an export model, the speedo is KM with the MPH in small numbers and the temps gauge is Celsius. Not sure if the oil pressure gauge is metric or not. Can I just swap the guages from a US truck in a junkyard into my truck and have everything work ok?? What is a good...- barry
