Just came back from Checker/ O'Reilly auto parts, they have the spindle nut wrench on sale for $12.99, part number 648476. They usually want $26, napa wants $55.
What a great time for my truck to lose an axle seal.
Have I been doing this wrong?
This is from a Ford TSB. Has anyone tried bleeding this way?
Could it be that the bleeder valve is a last resort?
:dunno If the truck is a 1987 or prior model, 1988 model with a 7.3L Diesel, 7.5L EFI gas engine or the smaller family of engines with a Warner...
In my 1986 ford shop manual the cargo light is shown with the number 15550, how can you convert that number to a real part number?
For some reason, the cargo light is grouped, as an interior light.
For some time now I have wanted to dually wheels on my SRW because I like the way they look but I didn't need the extra tires. But now I may need to haul a 12,000 lbs trailer a few thousand miles. What would I need to change to install duals?
Keep having to log in over and over, sometimes right in the middle of posting a reply. I don't think I have changed anything on this end.
Any suggestions?
Why are my back studs longer than the front ones?
The back measured 2.25 inches while the front ones are 1.7 inches from the drum/rotor surface to the end of the studs.
The studs stick-out so far past the lug-nut that my 4-way lug wrench won't reach the nuts.
