    2000 F350 Electrical Issues

Hey all! I have a 2000 F350 4 door that I'm having some electrical issues with. I noticed it when I first bought the truck. The switch panel on the drivers side will roll down the passenger side window and the driver side rear window. Sometimes it will randomly stop working after rolling one of...

    Vacuum Pump Replacement

Sorry for the late update, but I got it done! It really wasn't as bad as I thought, it was just the puller/installer kit that I rented wasn't that great. Brakes are working great now though! I'll try to get a technical write up put together tomorrow afternoon. Thank you all for your help, I...

    Vacuum Pump Replacement

Okay, I've got the new pump in, but now I can't get the pulley to press in. The tightner part of the installer keeps popping off after a few turns.. It's probably something simple, but I'm stuck there

    Vacuum Pump Replacement

The vacuum pump instructions said no extra oil is needed. Do you have to pull the pulley before taking the vacuum pump off? I'm assuming you do because the bolts look like their gonna hit the pulley before they come all the way out

    Vacuum Pump Replacement

Thanks for the advice! I've never done a technical write up before, but I'm willing to give it a shot! Is the oil that goes in it just called STP oil treatment?

    Vacuum Pump Replacement

Hey all, I've got an issue with the brakes that is causing a very hard pedal and slow stopping time. It takes quite a bit of effort to stop the truck. I've done a little bit of research and come up with a bad vacuum pump. I went and picked up a pump yesterday, but I can't for the life of me find...

    Possible Oil Cooler Leak?

Update- I got the oil cooler seals replaced, both of the of the bigger seals were cracked. I tried to sneak it out without jacking the block up but that didn't work. Once I loosened the mounts and got the block raised up a little it came right out. Got the old seals off and cleaned everything up...

    Possible Oil Cooler Leak?

I appreciate the response. If the cooler itself is bad, I'll definitely buy that oil cooler bundle that FarmerFrank has. Thank you guys for all your advice. This forum really is great for trouble shooting and general advice.

Thank you guys for your help! Looks like that's what I'll be doing in the next few days

    Possible Oil Cooler Leak?

I'm not still driving it like that, the only time I drove it was after I discovered the leak and I only went up my street a little bit then back to see if the leak got any worse.

    Possible Oil Cooler Leak?

That's what I was afraid of. How bad is it to pull the cooler?

    Possible Oil Cooler Leak?

Unfortunately I'm back with another issue that just popped up. I have a pretty serious oil leak that I think is coming from the oil cooler, but I wanted to be sure that's what it is. The truck sat for about 6 days without being run at all while I was on vacation. I got back and tried to fire it...

Awesome, thanks a lot for the advice! I'll give that a shot. Would replacing the pickup in the tank solve the half tank issue?

    1993 F250 IDI Turbo hard/no start

The fuel itself was dark, but I forget what I was running for an additive at the time so that might've been it. I have to find where the air intrusion is first. Hahaha I have no idea where to start with that.

    1993 F250 IDI Turbo hard/no start

I just replaced the fuel filter the other day, it had about 5k miles on it, so it was aboutt time to be swapped. The fuel in the old filter was pretty dark. When I ran the b20, could it have collapsed a rubber line somewhere? I usually shoot the ether on the filter, then try to fire it off of...

    1993 F250 IDI Turbo hard/no start

Little update on the truck, sorry it took me so long, just got back in town from school. I'm still having the issue, ish. I got my batteries tested and found I had one bad one. Got it replaced under warranty, but before then I figured out how to get the truck to start quicker, which I think has...

    1993 F250 IDI Turbo hard/no start

Haven't plugged it in yet. I had the block heater plug hanging out when the front bumper was missing, and I tucked it up somewhere when I replaced the bumper. I need to track it down again.

I think someone else mentioned previously that the glow plug relay could be bad as well. It does get hot when I'm cranking it and the red wire starts to melt while I'm cranking it

I'll give that a shot as well. I'm back at school right now and the trucks at home. I'm driving my cousin's Silverado . Haha it's not a bad truck though. When I'm back home for Christmas break, I'll give all of these suggestions a shot. Thanks for all the help, I really appreciate it!

When it's cranking, I don't notice any. It smokes white a little bit when it first starts but clears up after a minute

    1993 F250 IDI Turbo hard/no start

The starter cranks pretty quick for the first few times. I get about 4 or 5 cranks out of it before the batteries die, and by the third one it's starting to slow down. The guy I bought it from replaced the batteries when I went to look at it because they were dead, but he got the cheap no name...

I was thinking about replacing the fuel pump with an electronic one, where is it located on the truck? When I'm by the truck again, I'll make sure to check the Schrader valve, and go over the rest of the fuel system. Thanks for all of the suggestions!
