I actually had a second set in my garage laying around. On my rebuild I cracked one of the treads going to an injector. Ended up getting a whole set from a local junk yard. Think I paid $50 bucks for the set. He's got a couple 6.9's laying around.
Alright guys I cracked the case and here is the skinny.
I replaced my fuel line with rubber 3/8th fuel line off the tank to the primary, because of this I began checking for leaks and found a puddle of diesel under my truck (it was idling for a while). Long story short. One of my injector...
Alright guys, thought this problem was taken care of but no. I took a trip to the cape Friday for a house clean out job (100 mile round trip). She made it their and back. However, the fuel filter is still filling only part way with fuel and we are not running 100% I could barley climb even on...
I was thinking about picking up a Isuzu NPR and having my guys drive it to cut lawns. Currently they are driving my 06 F-350 with a 6.0 and the are kind of beating it up. I am looking at a 96 box truck that I am going to convert into a dump. Truck has 175,xxx on it and owner says its a 3.9L...
I just had a similar issue with my truck yesterday. I bought some diesel 911 and put it in my tank I also filled the filter halfway with diesel half with treatment. But you might want to just change both filters if they are old. But do what these guys said^^^ take the fuel from the filter and...
I will have to look into that if I run into more problems. What do they cost?
I purchased a new mechanical pump today along with new fuel filters. I also, got a new 3/8 fuel line and replaced. tightened the brass nut on the plastic line coming from the fuel tank. When I took the truck for a...
Tank is 100%. I am going to throw in the pump and two new filters now and see what happens. Also will see if I have any 3/8 hose laying around. I don't want to run out again if I don't have to (snows coming).
Hey guys my 86 s1600 is running bud with diminished power. Just had the whole Engine rebuilt just about everything was replaced except for the fuel pump.I ran this truck all summer without a problem. Here is what happened, I got called to go plow unplugged truck started up and ran fine until I...
just about done
Finally backed truck out of my garage. Had to use ether trick to seat my tires.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sypPhj8TjYc&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Here she is what you boys think?
How long have you been running wmo? Wmo is acidic and wears on Ip and injectors. Try cutting your mwo to 50/50 and throwing some diesel treat in there for lube.
Got the water pump off and it was all puky. So I pulled of the timming cover and it looks like the water was leaking past the timing cover gaskets and into the pan. I am going to drop the pan clean it up and replace timming gaskets.
Yeah I put sealer on the water pump bolts. I think I am going to pull my timing cover and see whats going on. I think I might have forgot gasket sealer on both sides of the gaskets for the timing cover.
I was thinking about it today. Could coolant get behind the timing cover and drip into pan via the water pump? I had this thing running for about a minute or two. If the cooler was bad wouldn't I find oil in the coolant??
I drained out all my oil / water got about 2 or 3 gallons of straight coolant. Then I pressurized the coolant system and got water to squirt out of my oil pan pretty fast. After I drained my coolant and did not se any oil. So I am leaning towards there being a head crack or gasket problem. What...
Yeah. I did try to Fix* up my old oil cooler. Also there was water that came out of the drain right before the milkshake. Should a new oil cooler core solve this?
Milkshakes for everyone
Its been a while since I last post. Couple of snow storms kept me busy. I finally put my truck all back together, new set of return lines and new injectors put in. They are currently not leaking. Bled all the injectors lines and pump that all went well. Tightened them...
