I have an 89 f350 dually 2wd e4od w/ gear vendor box and banks sidewinder kit. Has 5" stack in bed and tool box. The bed news last Wednesday it quit on me going dwn the road. It's the injection pump have had it built 2 times now an this one was only 4 days old. But she still turns over and...
The first one when I put it in the truck ran but rly rough and couldn't get the pump timed no matter how much I messed with it.. And yea no lie ain't worth a dang.. And hopefully third time is the charm..
I just put my new ip in and everything went smooth. Went dwn the road ran great come home shut it off and then tried to restart it after 10 min and wouldn't start so I had to pour water on the pump to get it to start.. What causes the hot start problem?
Nope didn't remove the gear with the pump left it in there. So How do I advance it again from the center mark.. And what circles are ya talking about..
Yes cracked all lines until fuel ran out.. No not out of fuel cuz I filled both tanks before ip desided to go out. Lol and I've moved it from the marks both direction a little at a time and still no luck with the loping condition. ugh this thing is about to drive me nuts..
I got my new injection pump and installed it just like I took it off and lined all marks and dowel pin up. Yes yes I knw they're just there to get it running.. Ran it dwn t road to get t air left over out. Pulled in and it was loping like a 454 and rocking the truck. Had to stay on the throttle...
also something i just noticed it has two timing marks on the top. one looks orginial and the other well its half A@# on there looks like someone just marked it real quick with a chisel of some sort. may hafta try that mark..
yes the injectors are all getting fuel and a steady flow i must say..lol and also the glow plugs are brand new.. and to fixitall im going to charge everything up and try it tomorrow. im just gonna play with the timing till i find the sweet spot.
the way i removed it was i left the cover on it and just removed the three botls on the front and three on the rear. reinstall was i lined the dowl pin up and put all bolts in and line the new marks on top up that USDIESELPARTS had marked on top of the pump. put the lines on and bled the whole...
ok so replaced the pump in my truck three days ago. all lines marks and everything are lined up and good to go. my problem is that ive went thur my batteries trying to get this thing to start. it just cranks and coughs a lot and will act like it wants to fire up but no luck. ANY IDEAS ON WHATS...
Haven't touched the fuel screw on it. And has new glowplugs and injectors.. and the mileage on the pump I do believe is 154k. Its my fathers old truck. To t best of my knowledge we have never replaced the pump.
Going to work yesterday morning and got half way to work and truck started making a ticking/clicking sound pretty bad. Figured go till she blows. Made it to work opened the hood and the sound was coming from the IP. Left work and the truck did fine no sound. Drove around today and its back. Was...
three days ago i checked my injectors and found that the #2 was leaking very badly. so i tightened all the lines up and it fixed it for the most part. but i still have a small amount of fuel bubbling out from round the injector.. what could cause this to happen???? and also the truck was smokey...
hahahahaha.. roflmao.. yea if my daughter was a lil older i would let her do that... but i was thinking bout the duplicolor stuff. and buying some fabric and getting my mom to cut and sew my seat covers.. but as for the carpet i have no clue its either buy replacement or my buddy suggested rhino...
Ok my 89 has a red interior and red exterior. Really starting to mess with my eyes. Any ideas on cheap and easy ways to change the color of the interior???
Well it already has an underdrive unit on it..and found a set of 3.73's online for a pretty good price so looks like im dropping them in.. I dnt mind to pay a lil more in fuel when I do haul anything.
I have 4.10 gears in my 89 f350 dually.. was wondering if I could drop the ratio to 3.73 or maybe even 3.55 and get better mpg and still b able to pull light loads if i have too..
This is the question I has been going thur my head since early today while at work.. WHICH FUEL IS BETTER REGULAR DIESEL OR OFF ROAD DIESEL? I've "hurd" rumor that the off road is a lil better. Plus in my area off road is 3.27 and regular fuel is 3.55..
