Those doors are all the same on r model and dms from the 70s till they stopped making that cab in early 2000 something . ive replaced and fixed enough of them i would ask $200 apiece,
When we had a turbo go where i worked at we would always wash them out with cascade or spray nine. didnt matter about cold or hot water but spray nine worked best also forgot to add we were washing out the charge air cooler,

My glow plugs stopped working so i jumped the relay and the light came on .while it was running the relay was clicking every 10/15 seconds i assume this is a timer how important is this timer except for startup .:dunno

The only thing bad about sinking way to much money in a veichle is if it ever gets totaled you wont recoup all the money put into it . but its your veichle and if you fix it up the way you like and it makes you happy more power to you.

checked the motor today its a6.9 it has 7/16 head bolts .pulled the blower out looks like a field mouse was in there a while back ago even had it packed around the resistor. also had oily film on all of it cleaned it all out and sprayed brake kleen the best i could gonna take and blow it out...
no its a moldy stink even though it the a/c condensation still drains out the bottom . i will look and see if it was but i didnt see a sticker on the window saying it was.thats funny a guy i used to work with worked there till it closed .
i will start working on this small stuff tommorow i will pull the blower tommorow and clean it out noticed thats the stink ive been smelling coming from there . the thermostat i will do soon i usually buy failsafe thermo stats any way. i will hopefully remember to take pics tommorow the truck...

I just traded for a 85 f 250 ec 6.9 / c6 4wd and it runs pretty good dosent smoke at all and drives down the road good.it has had a replacement motor put in it pretty recently and hasnt used any oil yet . the fuel sending units are brand new on this truck and neither of them work right the rear...
