I never said it would not fit.
I said it was NOT easy.
beat it to fit, paint it to hide.

when you have a stand alone wiring kit, its only a few wires and a bunch of garbage.

Well hopefully I won't have to beat anything to make it fit.

Finally spotted a Mustang pic with a Cummins in it. This should inspire you to make the 7.3 fit.

BTY that is the same Chevelle I saw at SEMA with the Duramax, awesome install.

This is literally the only pictures I could find on google of a Mustang with a diesel also. That's Cumstang. :Thumbs Up

There is a video on YouTube of a guy who has a 4BT Cummins in a Foxbody and I think its pretty cool.

You can only cut so much. I suppose that making the front flip open is a possibility. But since a 460 fits then the IDI will.

I'm like 99.9% sure it will fit. Lol

No, it won't be a "motor mount swap" drop in, and the shock towers will need to be convinced but it will fit.

and grinding, grinding, and more grinding lol, if you weld like sheet

Lmao I weld like sheeeet. :(

I took 2 semesters of an Ag/Welding class in HS. It's something I've always wanted to get better at. I'm not looking to do it for a living but my old man always told me trades are golden. There is a local welding college I've considered looking into. :dunno

Then again, YouTube and Google is thy friend. Lol

Even if you bought a rolling tube chassis, and just welded up all the attachments, you'd be a great welder by the you fired the engine.

Surprising to meet another z car owner on here, and doing a similar swap to boot! Im putting a 302 in my 77 280z.

My buddy restored a 68 mustang and did alot of structural fabrication in the front end, engine bay, suspension etc. I would be surprised if the body of that car can support the weight of an idi. It is extremely frail compared to larger full frame vehicles.

I can't wait to tear into the Z! The LS swaps are so common, it's going to be so nice having a sbf in one. Unfortunately, it will have to come after the IDI and Mustang work. I've already got to many irons in the fire. The Minister of War would smother me in my sleep. :D

Weight is what worries me most. That and torque... It will be a true test for the car to say the least.

Some more ideas from browsing the interwebs..
