Block Heater Blowing GFCI...
I had the same problem, plug in heater and trip gfci... I put a multimeter on the plug and it showed a short. I unplugged the cord from the heater element and then it showed open. 6.9 Vacuum Related Questions...
regarding the last picture: on my truck "A" (heater hose bracket) bolts to the alternator adjustment bracket, to the passenger side of the alternator bolt. The screw goes thru the alternator bracket in the same manner that the alternator bolt does.- vikurt2002

Back In The IDI Game!!!
I did the upper only. Mine had rusted thru about 4 inches from the edge along the entire top of the wheel well but the bottom still had good steel so I cut out about a six inch swath and then cut the new tin to be about two inches bigger than the part I cut out. I had good luck with them. I'll try to dig up the before and after pics. I'm no body man but these were a pretty close fit so it wasn't too hard. I did both sides by myself in a weekend with a cut-off wheel and a 110v wire feed welder.- vikurt2002

Has anyone else noticed all the new members to the site?
Every time I need to do some work to the truck I come on this site and search through any posts on the subject. This usually saves me a lot of time and trouble. Glow plug carnage!
Did you have any trouble getting the old ones out? I know I have two bad glow plugs and it starts hard when the temperatures are low if I don't plug it in. I'm not really wanting to pull the heads to get the glow plugs out though.- vikurt2002

Wiper problem
I'm having the intermittent wiper problem as described in the tech article. Unfortunately I can't find the wiper control module. I'm starting to wonder if I have one... There is nothing attached to the e-brake bracket and when I follow the wires back from the wiper switch they lead to the wiring...- vikurt2002
