I saw a coolent system PSI guage 20 years ago when looking at a friends BlueBird diesel pusher motorhome.
First and only one I have ever seen in a factory gage cluster.
Where did you find a DT466 with a torque rating of 1600 ft/lbs?
The first generation of Dt466 were around 600ft/lbs and looking at new engine specs I dont see where they have achived 1000 ft/lbs rating yet.

Deere no longer supplies parts for DB pumps but the pumps are still shown in parts.
The pump service info you seek is shown in Deere tech manual " Diesel fuel systems repair"
My copy is 33 yrs old but as of last yr it was still available.You need to find a better Deere dealer.
The pump plungers can stick in their bores if these pumps set for a long time.
I have seen this with several pumps over the yrs.
FYI.... A DB pump service is available from Stanadyne. You just need talk to your local pump shop into ordering you one.

Never saw a S1600 with a DT466. In 1983 they were powered with a 6.9 and the 9 liter was used in S1700 and larger.
I dont think a DT was available until the S1900 and larger.
Maybe this "jerk" was just a employee who was doing his job and looking out for his employers........ shame on him for uncovering the truth of your trying to buy a GV unit for the price of a tail shaft.

Just wondering how long its been since you brought that reman engine? Franklin Power Products was located in Franklin Indiana and closed its doors going on 2 yrs now.
They paid good money for rebuildable cores until they closed.
