cost of rebuilding e40d
I paid $1300 for a local shop to do 12000 mile wty went up after17000 miles. expect to pay around $2500 for a hevy rebuild. Tow Cat sent me a link to brians truck stop looked like the ticket. http://www.brianstruckshop.com/- J D Recovery

E4OD only has 2&4 if you shift manually
Not to sure but I think the trans needs the input from the tach sensor to shift. Try changing the sensor in the top of the idi cover. Again not sure kinda new to desiel hope someone will let me know if I'm right.:dunno- J D Recovery
