conflicted if I want to run both turbos into 1 3-4" pipe that's perpendicular, then to the intake
or if I should use 2" pipe and X them.
no time or money to innercool it at this time.
thoughts and suggestions welcome

Hate to say it, but might want to X... as cool as seperate twins would be- what if one spooled faster due to not being plumbed the same - or just because pfm.
One side with more boost would have more power/cylinder pressure. On a V block i would think it needs to be balanced.

But if an injector is worn out or not firingon one side, itd be off balance also.
Gonna run dual boost gauges if you keep em separate?

I will not be keeping them separate.
the 3-4" pipe will act like a "manifold" balancing out the pressure.
key word, perpendicular.

K im with you now.
Got room to clock both turboes straight up, 90 on each 3" pipe tie them together then 2 2" pipes run straight back into the intakes?
Both turboeswould have the same number and degrees of angles.

the x pipe would look cool. I think the x pipe would get in the way of the IP more then the perpendicular manifold pipe.

do you have any pipe to lay out to give us a better idea of what yer thinking?

Maybe Im going to sound extremely stupid, but perpendicular is 90* from a straight line,right?...wouldnt that be more of an "H" pipe...would you be connecting the 2 intake runner, the 2 turbo outlets with a 3-4" pipe between the two connections?...Maybe Im mistaken in my understanding in that, but an "X" would be a better balance of pressure.

I like the H configuration. I think it looks better than the X and it is easier to make. I have not had good luck with the one X pipe I tried to make, many years ago.

What truck is this? You can't set it aside until you can intercool it?

I kinda like the X configuration :popcorn. I'm sure either or will work just fine tho.....wouldn't they? Maybe the X configuration will flow a bit easier because air won't have to "hunt" around in a box before exiting the system :dunno.

I like the H configuration most but feel the X pipe would flow better and more evenly. Just my .02

I'd say go with whatever adapts easiest to the IC set up you are thinking about. If you can save yourself some work later, that's what I'd do.

no, my goal is to drive it out of the shop.
it wont be innercooled for a while, I have the material, and the time.. WTFN?
