Trying to identify parts. In the valley there's a large cylinder and then behind that there is a flat round thing with two hoses coming off of the top of it. What are those parts?

Does it have the round black thing?

Fuel pump is under the turbo outlet, which has two lines at the top, and one way at the bottom. Some had a metal plate that snaps onto the fuel lines.

^^^ That's the picture I needed.
The flat round thing I was referring to would be the fuel pump.
The large cylinder thing I was referring to would be the fuel filter.
Okay, when I was looking into the valley while it was running I saw lots of fuel. I'm pretty sure I saw foaming at the base of what would be the fuel pump. It's hard to say cause the lighting was poor and the engine was causing waves in the fuel add it was running.

I would be willing to bet you about $20 that the leak is coming from old fuel lines. They're notorious for cracking from old age. You can get a couple of feet for a good price at dieselorings.com, and while you're at it, you can re-seal the fuel bowl since it will be out anyway. The hoses aren't that hard to replace, they're just tedious because they have to be a very specific length. Too short, and you've screwed yourself. Too long, and it will fight you when you try to re-install the fuel bowl.

A lot will say to just buy hose and cut to length, but for only a few bucks more, you can buy pre cut lengths for those from ford. Which is what I did.
Actually looks like diesel orings has them precut also. http://www.dieselorings.com/1994-1998-ford-7-3l-1/fuel-system-parts-filters.html
Do them all.
What I do is cut the old ones, remove the fuel bowl, clamp the lines to the bowl, then finaggle the whole thing in while pushing the lines on.

Diesel O Rings is where I got that picture. I was looking at all of the hoses and thought the price seemed well worth it. Lol
I was thinking just that, buying all of them. Thanks for the tip.

Hell, I can replace all of the soft hoses, including the return hose, for about $30 and it's already right. I say it's worth it, easy.

BTW, you wouldn't have a California fuel pump as shown in the first pic of post #63. There was no distinct CA emissions truck until 1997.

For the fuel line, you can get bulk 30R9 at the local parts store, and the injection-style (NOT worm gear) clamps, no waiting for mail order. The '95 has one more oddball hose on the fuel bowl that the other years don't. Another $10 at dieselorings.com . My bill at Advance Auto, 30% discount for ordering online, came to $16-ish for all the hose and clamps.

Anybody have any links to installing an electrical fuel pump?
And the fuel gauge didn't read right, it ran all of the way up to the peg and stayed there.

Okay, if anyone is paying attention still I do have, essentially, one more question.
With the info already posted is there anything that can come up that would keep you from purchasing this truck for $2000 (assuming you had the money dedicated to the purchase)?
I have been waiting, mostly patiently, to talk with the owner before I committed myself.
