OK here is what I have going on with the caps. I have a full set on my truck and have 3400 miles on them right now. Some times my truck starts great and some time my truck starts like crap to try to get my truck starting good every time I changed the 3 olives, mechanical lift pump, o rings and fuel lines were put on with the caps. Starts the same with the new parts as with the old parts. So I did not want to go any farther with these until I figured out my problem. I think its due to my strong WMO mix it starts like crap on that. I do switch to clean diesel before I shut the truck off.

They kinda screw me over at work also I got pulled of the machine that I was running the caps on and put back on the machine I was running before. All because of two people that could not get along its so darn childish at work its stupid!! So now running a different machine it makes it 10 times harder to get over there and do my government jobs. So the couple people I that I asked to help test out the caps for my I am working on it but they are not done yet.

I know its not what you guys want to here but that's where I am at right now. This was another concern of mine that when it comes down to sell them its going to take me a long time to get them done this is not an easy job.

no worries here, my Daughter lives in WI and her hard working BF has the same dumb issues at the jobs he works at, he ran a laser for cutting metal and was really good at it, it kept shutting down so the big boss said if he couldnt keep it running get rid of him, turns out the voltage was wriong going to the control computers and He had told them that but you know bosses , they dont listen.

Even though you switch to diesel before shutting down , do you do it at least a full 5 minutes before shutting down , and I do mean 5 minutes of driving, not idling , so it can thoroughly purge? THis is where most folks mess up, and also wind up killing their lift pumps.

This could vary well be my problem I usually don't give it that long. I am going to change the WMO mix to try and get it to start better.

Product fail, the return line is either clogged or leaking.

Wow fast to jump to conclusions! I said I would report what happens and this is part of it I guess.

As of right now I do not have power to the fuel shut off solenoid so that is why its not starting. I just did not have time to look at it before I had to get to work.

I'm not sure the caps are your problem myself. Sounds like you need another test mule;Poke:Thumbs Up just to rule out the caps being problematic...................raising my hand.......................oohh, oohh....pick me, pick me.LOL

caps ARENT, the problem!!!!!!!!!!! either your lift pump[fuel pump] is failing,,or the ip is getting weak,,, OR,make sure,,your hear a clicking in the ip,,when you turn the key switch on...i was driving down the road,,when the shut off solenoid inside the ip died!!! luckily,,i was only a few miles from home,,in summer!!!

Thanks for the update... these solenoids usually have a crack in the plastic insulation per What Mel has found out. That does not mean they are shot but in your case it does. Seeing it blew a fuse my thinking is you found the issue and its an easy fix. As for someone calling the aluminum caps a fail.... Not a chance of that... Actually why did that poster JUMP to that premature conclusion so fast.:dunno
I think your doing a great thing for these engines by making something better that what we have at this time...;Sweet:D

There is a good chance that your WMO ate the insulation on the coil. If it was/is highly acidic it's possible. The insulation on the coil wires and wrap insulation is varnish, the coil heat in it self could accellerate it.

I realize this is semi off topic, but I've had exactly what OldBull said... I was running straight limonene (Orange Peel Oil; and the same cleaning stuff in Gojo, Fast Orange, etc.) and it did the same thing. I cleaned my fuel system so well it cleaned the insulation right off the copper coils on the FSS. It took two to figure out what really was happening.
The coating is not very durable on the copper coils. I've got several FSS's laying around because I bought a lot of them just for spares (then never needed them) after I figured out it was the orange peel oil.
