See.... This is why we need a special forum to salute those members that go above and beyond.... I'm thinking agnem and typ4 should be the first inductees....

There is more than enough ego stroking happening in the IDI forum. No need for a special place of idol worship.

Thanks for the thought, but no, because of people who cant take the comments in the way they are presented, and have to put a negative spin on life.:dunno

It is very good that someone stood behind a sale like that.;Sweet

Good to see there are still some stand up sellers around these days. I sell all things/vehicles as described - I tell the buyer what the deal is - good or bad to the best of my knowledge....Stuff can last 5 minutes or 5 years....I can't control that.

I have two small business operations. My clients know they can't get better service from anyone else plus... My fee for my service is way below the market. I stand behind my work 110%. I tell those that give me work if anything makes you feel I gave you a bad deal let me know... I have never had a call telling me I messed up but... I have plenty of return clients time and time again. This site is an insiration to live by. We do get some nuts here from time to time.... Usually they just go away like the bad smell of somebodys fart in a crowded room.... My business here is to help others like I was helped when I needed it... Its called play it back... Not run someone down because you can't handle someone elses sucess.... We all have good days and some bad days... Sometimes we say things that are misunderstood... Other times we try to drag someone down a few notches... Those are easily seen thru... We have the ability to agree or disagree with whats posted here but... Kicking someone in the junk is not tollerated.... Ever.......:sly

Both you and Jake_IN need to see the glass as half full.

Well i guess I'll throw my thoughts into the pot sense it looks like at this point i have nothing to loose. I think its great that we have this place where all of us from all over the world to come together and help each other out. I also think its good to publicly thank another member when they help another member out or go out of their way to help others out. I just disagree with having a forum solely for the reason of thanking other members. I feel that for the most part it would OK but I feel that their is a strong possibility of it also being a bash board. Not in the sense of someone starting a topic bashing a member, but a member thanking another member and then someone coming in saying that member did them wrong. Then from there is becomes a big argument. So i think at this point its best to just leave things the way they are.

Bash board? Ask jsnap how bashing on a forum works.....oh wait...you can't. He got the boot.

I have lurked around on forums before, and attacking members on most of them goes without punishment. Here, we have moderators that are NOT afraid to put their boots in people's John Brown hind end parts...and it keeps the bashing to a SEVERE minimum.

Personally, I think that if someone stood up behind their work the way that this Nick fellow did, then he should be thanked not only by the purchacer, but by the diesel community.

When I do work to people's cars I DO my 100% best and am honnest, and if something goes wrong I will fix it.

Just yesterday a fellow's 2001 Ford Taurus needed rear struts. I told him that the sway bar link's would most likely break while removing them...and they did. He was not upset at all, and I even drove him to Elmsdale (10 miles away) to get the parts he needed at no cost for transportation.

This is what keeps business rolling in the door, and happy customers rolling out!
