Coolant Question

How many gallons of coolant should i use ? and how much of it should be mixed with water? this being the rad and block are dry. :dunno

if you are running the SCA's as recommended, use distilled water as tap water makes the SCA's ineffective. (you probable knew that, but i have to try to look like I know something once in awhile:) )

No... Not really but... Its cheap insurance too... The distilled water comment is the truth too... Most tap or well water has some much disolved minerals in it that they will crap up the radiator in no time...

unless you use fleet charge it says no need for distilled water

well ive never ran sca's in anything and where do i get it ? whats the cost ? i always use distilled water in all my vehicles also

tsc has fleet charge its 15 a gal but its stirght antifreze napa has the scas then you can use green antifreze

Try your local International dealer. After all, its their engine, and they are mess expensive than a Ford dealer.

FleetGard is good for 100,000 miles. I don't use any water except STEAM DISTILLED. Cost the same at the grocery.

SCA is cheap insurance for any high compression engine, even gassers from what I understand. A 6.9 only offers more material for the worm to chew through, it still has the potential to get there.
