Ok the new engine in the truck is running great,l but having a little problem, it has great power from idle to about 2500 rpm, but its slow accelarating after 2500 rpm and it wont go over 3400 when accelarating and it trys to miss or something, but if you push the clutch in and rev it up, it will rev as high as you want and never miss or nothing, but when accelarating its like it has no power beyond 2500 rpm, and this is the same IP off the old engine with the 4500 RPM spring, also the injectors are brand new and set to pop at 2300 psi From russ

What injection pump are you using? Same as the broken motor? If it is then you may be too far advanced or there is a fuel supply issue.

Sounds like it's running out of fuel....My old 6.9 pump was like that with the old injectors and retarded timing.....New injectors will exagerate retarded pump timing too so a little bump in your timing may help.....My reman 7.3 pump fixed the old girl right up - lots of power and smoke now.

I advanced it tonight, and noticed it didnt have much adjustment left, so right now its advanced as far as i can get it, it sounds a little more rattly, sounds kinda like my 7.3 truck, i was going to drive it tonight and see if it made a difference, but its going to storm, so i will wait till the morning

Is it a used IP, new or reman?....If you have injectors with a high crack pressure and a weak/slow to build delivery pressure from the IP it will be hard to get much advance in the timing.

well its a pump thats in pretty good shape, it was rebuilt some years ago, probly dont have alot of miles, but maybe it is the injectors causing the IP not to be able to keep up

There is only one thing on my engine from the moose man, thats the high rpm spring, i wish i had some moose stuff,
The injectors were just something i figured i would try, and now i think i wish i would have stayed at the 1800-1900 instead of what i got:puke::puke:
