What's an Engine Worth -or- Need an engine?

a guy here in town has a '90 model 7.3 IDI that is wrecked...local parts place will give him 1500 to 2500 for the engine...anybody need one? What's a good price for it?

That's a little high....I bought an 1988 7.3L IDI for $200 with 275,000km on it....It had no IP, lines or injectors though....Most yards around here are selling IDI's for $1000-1500 but I see them all the time for sale locally on Kijiji for $800 or less.

I got my 88 7.3 for a song $500 and it runs!!!

I got a whole truck, '87 6.9 with 140k for $350 and a 86 6.9 120k with a ats turbo for $750. Deals are out there if you look long enough.
