Day time running lights.

I'm asking for a friend who has a 2002 sliverado how do you kill (turn off) the day time running lights? He really dosn't like them. Thanks , Joe

I found out tat the truck is Canadian built. Thanks

Not sure as I don't have a modern chebby, but I think I heard one click down on the parking brake cuts em.
