Alright folks, I have a car hauler I need to sell pretty quick. Found a good deal on a goose neck hauler and need to make a move. I'm here in the atlanta area.
7 X 16 with steel deck runners, and 2X6 wood decking between the steel deck runners. Custom rear stabilizer jacks for loading while not connected to vehicle. Has truck box mounted on front, slide in ramps, and LED rear lights. I'm throwing in 2 extra tires, and a campbell hausfeld 5 hp compressor and a case of Gatorade, because it's just hot! $1100.

Sort of OT, but we tolerate such posts here at least for a short while, then the mods usually move them to the marketplace where it's allowed. Best practices would be to post an ad in the marketplace and then link to that, but we all understand how it is to need to unload something in a hurry. You won't get banned for something like this like you might on some other forums. Related to an IDI only in that a lot of us also haul stuff.... to the OP, sorry man it's great but it's not in the budget!

WOW. Sorry for trying to give someone a good deal. As for what it has to do with this site, I am an IDI owner and a member of this community. You all have helped substantially and I thought I'd give someone an opportunity to take advantage of my loss. Sorry for not doing it the right way, and sorry for being in a situation that requires me to get rid of something for help. Hope you never get in a bind.

Don't sweat it. It got moved. Besides that. What the heck are all the posts about parting out the trucks doing in the IDI forum and a lot of other posts pertaining to towing etc.

If you see a post you feel doesn't belong there, let me or a mod know. We can't read them all, but I do try to. Selling a trailer is a pretty obvious thing. It goes in the Marketplace. Why limit your potential customer base to just the IDI crowd? One hitch fits all if I recall. Getting it moved is helping you, not hurting you. I suggest everyone hit the "All New Posts" link at the top of the forum at least once a day to see what else is going on in the other forums. I know I usually find at least a few topics that catch my eye that are not IDI related. Sometimes if it is a trailer towing problem, as in overheating, that can be very IDI specific, so such discussions are common and belong in the IDI section. If they migrate beyond that to "how much weight should I haul" or that kind of thing, it will get moved to towing and hauling.

I didn't see an issue with it either...there are all kinds of things here that are not directly related and I attribute them to just the group of us that are in the IDI section. I read it, I left it, because I'd have had to move a ton of stuff if I'd have made an issue of this.

Don't sweat it and if I hadn't just murdered my savings for an engagement ring, i'd come see ya! :)

Mel has a point, in the market place, you are reaching those that may not even look at the IDI section.
