    Brake Problems

    Your slides may be damaged from being bound up for so long. Check to be certain there is no worn areas that could put the caliper in a bind when braking. They might slide just fine with no braking force applied but bind up when braking forces are applied to the caliper.

    Aaron is right it is just above the oil filter on the left side of the block. Yes it is entirely possible that the truck does not have a block heater. It is an option, some times people don't choose it when specing out a new truck.

    Glad we all could help. IIRC the stock Ford donuts are not the best to use. I remember that GM makes some that are thicker and thus tighter fitting and are graphite impregnated so they move with the pipes better then the white Ford donuts. But I can't remember the part #.

    Unless the previous owner or dealer told you then it is a guess. I believe all aftermarket t/c's are painted, Precession and ATS are purple, Suncoast are grey. Stock are bare steel. I do not believe any of the aftermarket ones have a drain plug. The stock 99-early 2000 had a drain plug.
