    Go to reman injection pump

I got one in October if last year for my 86 with turbo 7.3. It ran a bit funny at first, but after a couple thousand miles, I guess it ‘broke in’ and now it’s great!

    HF Trailer Wheel Bearing temps

I did torque by spec on my Dana 60 front axle, doesn’t get hot, new wheel bearings, seals, grease. But I still made sure that it ‘felt’ right…

is there a IDIA group around?

Others here may have a very similar problem, such as myself… I’m very sure I know much less than you do though.

    Oil change for ZF-5 Transmission

I think that is what most people recommend for the NV4500 now...

    Oil change for ZF-5 Transmission

My friend's 95 PSD ZF5 was full of water. Pure. frickin. water... He only checked engine oil when he bought it, drove 18000 miles on water, through a -28 winter even... Who knows how long it had been like that. I can't understand how that would happen, unless someone did it on purpose...

"Snake Eyes" 1985 F350 Project Thread

I use a fender mount style starter solenoid that is controlled with a button for glow plugs on my service truck. I gave glow plugs one last chance. Put them in about a month and a half ago, so far so good. ACDelco this time.

    Rear main seal replacement

CAT emissions... fAnTaStIc... AlWaYs WoRkS... (not) But... but... Detroits make big noise... (but they do suck to work on) Cummins is a decent medium, I do generally prefer a pre emissions CAT, we have an 06 Kenworth T800 at work with a 625 KOTH C15 that will walk all over the brand new 389...

    Power Steering Pump

I am also curious about this... My 86 had power steering issues, since it has vacuum brakes, I simply swapped to manual steering, no complaints there, this truck is very light for a 4WD extended cab diesel pickup. I just put a reman PS pump in my 91, which has hydroboost. It is definitely...

    Cup holders

My service truck does not have… cupholders. Which is unfortunate because I have been driving the hell out of it… @Danielle do you have a link as to where one could acquire said 3D printed cupholder?

    Installing engine and trans together.

You’ve got to pull the core support too. I don’t really know how you would take them out together, I have only put them in together, otherwise separate. I would assume trying to install with transfer case would be pretty much impossible with the cab on… Taking them each out separate is much...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Got my extended cab put back together, except the starter wouldn’t turn the engine over… the bendix doesn’t engage… so I fiddled with it awhile and determined that the starter is junk, gonna drop it off at Napa in the morning..

    C6 overheating mysterious cause

F Super Duty trucks weren’t designed for freeway speeds, that’s one of the downsides of them. Otherwise I’d be tempted to get another one, but they’re just regular cabs… On the governor in 5th gear (ZF5) I’m at 85 mph, with 5.13 gears. Higher speeds in your auto tranny will heat things up...

The rear tank doesn’t like to take fuel

Both of my Fords fill great. The service truck will take fuel at a truck stop in the truck lanes on the max setting. My extended cab will do those at second click usually, and max at an auto pump. My Dodge, which is a gasser with a flatbed, doesn’t take fuel well… first click or hold nozzle...

So what did you do with your truck today?

I put the running boards back on my service truck, made some stout brackets for them. I also greased the brake caliper slide pins, and added mudflaps.
