    well im not that smart either, i guess, i went with a facet pump to start with ( yes, cheap and cheap) . then i thought, if im going to run this truck, drive it every day, plow,tow,haul,etc.etc.. i should do it right.. i went with a holley red. no regulator needed, no nothing.. just wire in hook...

    well, not sure if this will get to the top of the list , as it has been almost a year,, but good news... i found a body guy , had him look at the truck,,, he said it was older than he thought (?) and its way easy to work on/fix..( oh yah)...sooooo,,, i bought 2 new fenders, had a radiator...

    ok, ill jump in. 1993 f250. idi went with a facet pump. did good for a while. i turned up the IP, installed a exh,temp guage, ... got a little more power. then i bought a turbo kit from wes. and a rebuild kit from russ, { both great guys with tons of knowledge}. . turned up the IP pump more...

    as of now, its my yard truck,,,, plow truck,, tow truck,,, sad to remove the plates and insurance,, but. its to far gone to try to fix. I am keeping it for now, got a cherokee for a d.d. now,, we will see how the truck hunting goes,,,, looking for a OBS ,,, but its hard to find a good one here,,

    i do have a write up in alternate fuel forum here, but with 2 tanks, i run filtered waste atf from work during the summer. 2 have 2 glass filters in line( 1 at the rear tank and 1 just before the holley red electric pump) by the switching valve . start on reg, diesel,, switch to atf,,, about 1/2...

    Others will give advice also, but id check for low coolant, low oil, dirty air filter? have you had the truck long? how many miles on it? You could try,( if coolant and oil are good) running a cleaner in the fuel for a while and see if it helps..

    well, update,, so far so good. the free fuel for this year is coming to a end. Its getting cold here and the other day running on wtf, i stalled, due to it being to cold for the atf to flow enough to keep the truck running. granted , i was running up hill, in the am, at the top, it sputtered...

    From what I've found, synthetic's burn "harder" than non. But in small amounts, its ok. i have run straight waste ATF in my 2nd tank "rear" for years . Straight, not cut with anything and its fine, as long as the engine is hot, and its not cold outside,/.. flow problems. at 30-40 deg... lots of...

    I may be way off here, but i think most "in tank" pumps are for EFI. that would mean, hi pressure. or at least more than our idis need. (4-7) i think... you could run a regulator inline, but with all that work that's involved,,, why not go with a holley red?.. right psi and more flow ( gallons...
