I use a low spot and valve to drain water that did collect. Also in that area I use a valve to control flow. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of it. But will grab one.
Might look for a steam train organization that might want it for the boilers. Could also be other steam museums. Might be able to take it off your handles if they have oil burners. Might get a tax write off too
I know it's kinda funny sounding but
biobor jf is a fuel additive. It kills fungi and bacterial growth. Cool stuff but toxic.

What happened to the electric motor? I put new bearings in one of mine last year and cleaned it up. Where about are...
Could put some biobor jf in it that helps drop water out by killing the microbial growth. It will make cloudy jet fuel crystal clear again. Haven't seen it do it with diesel yet, haven't tried gas.
Perfect. I have a source off red diesel. It is wet and has some dirt and rust on it from tanks. Watery sludge. I let it settle for a week before I fuge it. But that is great if he just swaps totes. In that case it's probably settled more than a week in his tote. But a couple days if you pump it...
Are you pumping out of his container? Can you tell when your pump start to pump water? Mine changed sound so it's obvious when I am into water or coolant.
Water doesn't resolve into gas as bad as jet a or diesel. Drain as much water off after settling and then blend with oil and then fuge. That would pull any other water out I would think. Is it pretty clear?
I blend them fuge just to be sure everything is clean.
Nice score!
Found out that my setup works way better at less than 3gph. If I am above that then I get a bunch out on the second pass. 2.5-3gph is where I am running right now and am seeing a significant difference between the first and second passes sludge removal.
@Daddy Tanuki sorry it took me so long to response. I would snag that gas mix up in a heart beat! if it is to thin then just blend some of you wmo into it till you get what you like. You could check the specific gravity or like oil and then gas and average the sample of the blend to get an idea...
I would be careful blending wmo with wvo specifically, but also cautious with biodiesel could form a precipitate that settles out, think it is like a lacquer, and when heated(engine and friction) will glue ip and injectors solid. . Jeff has some good videos.
I think most people don't worry to...
Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving! Not sure where to start. @Daddy Tanuki What do you want to start researching?
I am thinking of starting and info thread.
Looks great and clean set up. Your off to a great start with the centrifuge, especially the 10000g unit. First is filter filter filter. Are you planning to do a two(2) tank system? Start and stop on diesel and once warm switch to wmo/blend? Similar to the straight veggie oil guy are using(fuel...
@Daddy Tanuki Very cool! Welcome to the board, there is a lot of great info and people here. Have you checked out usfiltermaxx's making black diesel writeup? https://usfiltermaxx.com/en/content/9-make-black-diesel I found it helpful years ago. You centrifuging your wmo before you burn in a...
Yep, I have looked at them in the passed and I have the single pass fuge design. Heard they work well though. Good for constantly cleaning engine oil as the engine runs.
Has anyone ever looked at or tested what rpm is required to get most of the sludge out? Processing a dirty batch now. My fuges removed 345oz(~21.6lbs) of sludge on a first pass of 300gal batch. I was impressed I was really impressed it was so dirty. Just started the second pass now so verdict...
Copy some report problems with running wvo and not getting burn combustion and leaking into the oil which could cause problems with polymerization. Also an injection rebuild shop local said they see lots of tractors injection systems gummed up from the bio mixed with diesel from the pump and...
Great link from axi-international, good find. I like the science and r&d of trying to figure all this out. I guess I would be happy if I could get 95% of the sludge out on a regular basis. Just wanting trouble free miles for years to come. I need to get a 1micron absolute sock for my QC. But...
Very interesting info. I usually go till hardly anything comes out in the fuges and then pass through at 1micron sock filter as QC. Been told it's overkill but, I like my fuel clean. I am learning new d2, oils, and other are not all that clean. So that makes me feel a little better. Lol
Pass 6 2.61oz. Really sticky slimy stuff. Feed stock was some synthetic blend gasoline piston oil primarily. Only think I didn't try was a pass with heat. Would be interesting.
I have to call it quits on this batch and start a new one. More data points to come. Same feed stock source. I messed...
