1989 7.3. Still has a knock after I replaced injectors and IP. Also replaced oil cooler. Sounds like passenger side down low. Replaced glow plugs as well. Starts great runs strong. Knock seems louder after warmed up. Kinda bummed. Didn't want to have to get into it this far.
Parts came from R&D IDI and I hooked wires up as they were to the IP I gave up for the night so it hasn't been timed yet just thought it was odd it wouldn't shut engine off.
I replaced the injectors and IP today and started the truck now when I turn key to off the engine won't shut off. Still seems to have knock too. Any help is appreciated.
The knock never goes away and is the same no matter the temp or rpm. I just had high pressure oil pump replaced because it was letting oil into the antifreeze. Which seemed to make oil pressure gauge read less. Gauge is irrelevant but still weird.
