Odd stalling issue that has progressed
Cool. I did the diesel kleen in the filter and soak. I ran it hard yesterday all over the valley of the sun. Feels like a brand new truck almost. It starts on the first spin every time now, whether its hot or cold. Thanks for the advice, really appreciated. I still think it probably needs...- kbrennan

Odd stalling issue that has progressed
Idles around 800rpm. IP is probably old, it has a red dot on it, so i think it's been replaced at least once. I haven't done it since owning it the last 20k miles. I will pick up some diesel kleen or ATF and fill the filter and try that. I'll start planning to buy a new pump. moose diesel...- kbrennan

Odd stalling issue that has progressed
So my red mess has finally given me a run for my money and I haven't been able to puzzle through it reading old threads and tinkering. A few months ago it started stalling occasionally when I let off the throttle and decelerating. It always immediately started right back up on the first spin...- kbrennan

So what did you do with your truck today?
Added in a Facet 40222 pump in parallel with the mechanical pump for priming. Works really nice....In the process broke a brittle plastic connector (Thanks desert) in the heater hose lines and dumped coolant all over. Subsequently noticed that I'd been running a couple gallons low on coolant...- kbrennan

Engine serial number that identifies a turbo 7.3?
If it is 1994, the stock turbo 7.3 will have an engine code VIN letter of 'K' and the 1993 stock turbo has engine code VIN letter 'C'.- kbrennan

The Official "Show Us Your Ride" pictures of member's trucks thread.
Picked her up about 6 months ago and have been tinkering slowly since. Pulls my other cars around great. Got lots of plans, and not enough time. Going to finish up the exhaust sooner or later and then redo the crumbling interior. Love it to death already though.- kbrennan
