Very interested to know what went wrong in that pump.

Do you have return flow out of the pump?

Throttle Cable Receiver Connection keeps "Popping Off" of the Injection Pump Arm

What happens when you manipulate the throttle holding that cable end, or removing it from the vacuum servo and pulling on that end? My truck before I turned the power up, would disengage the cruise when the pedal got to or very near the floor, basically releasing the throttle very quickly. I do...

    Truck running weird

Good luck trying to get any work done with one shifting like that. Even with a splitter, shift points in mine working, are 2500ish.

Throttle Cable Receiver Connection keeps "Popping Off" of the Injection Pump Arm

Just looked at a couple of mine. Springs are all connected to the pump arm above the ball.

Harsh upshifts in a "rebuilt" E4OD. Found only one spring in each accumulator valve.

did the trans work before you added 3 gallons of fluid to it? What voltage did you adjust the tps to, and does the voltage change with throttle input?

7.3 idi injection pump leaking from advance piston.

Did you feel how well that seal fit on the pin? I assume it is leaking on the id of the seal, or is ot leaking around the od?

Have used a few southbends, as well as other performance type clutches....no chatter.

2000 mile trip in 1990 F250 with 2,400 lbs in bed?

2500 really isnt that much in one of these trucks, especially if it has the overload on top of the standard spring pack. On my truck, with the standard springs and with the overload on top, 2000 pounds just brought the overloads into play, and leveled the truck. Get it shoved forward as much as...

Grease for driveshaft slip yoke splines?

If the splines have the blue stuff on them most any grease will do. Stickier seems to be better. Where that ford grease shines is un coated metal splines.

    Tach cutting in and out

Really need to verify that power from the tcm relay to the tcm is solid. After that, grounds to the tcm. what I have seen several times, the relay gets water and corrosion in it from not being upright in the holder that it belongs.

    Tach cutting in and out

From what I remember, the tach goes to the ecm before it goes to the cluster. If the computer is in the stock location, water runs down, and if the connector isnt tight or sealed , water can get in. Also check the relay for the computer.

    97 stroke

People buy cars and guns based on emotion. Doesnt have to make any sense...... But, I really dont understand the draw to those trucks.....beyond the 5-7k price point that they really should be at. Have owned many. Pathetic tow rating and brakes to match. A 7.3 superduty does everything better...

While the truck sits unused.. can I/should I soak the cylinders?

Or the valvoline restore oil. The diesel stuff is real expensive. But it does work.

While the truck sits unused.. can I/should I soak the cylinders?

The problem is, that anything that will actually dissolve or break down any of the stuff on the pistons/rings/lands, also tends to be rough on metal parts.....given time. I have soaked removed pistons in different stuff over the years, atf does almost nothing, as well as sea foam. There are...

What is the preferred method for lining up the axle pivot bushings on twin traction beams with leaf springs?

Works best to not have the springs in there. Put pivot bolts in, then springs bolted to truck, then springs bolted to front end.

96 - 94.5 powerstroke part swap can I do it?

My next step would be to plug scan tool in and check cps signal on there, and buzz test.

96 - 94.5 powerstroke part swap can I do it?

Does this still have the early computer as well? If so come up with a newer one so you can get datastream from it.

How and where are you measuring the 1000psi?

96 - 94.5 powerstroke part swap can I do it?

Are you sure the valve is bad? Without the nut and spacer, the valve does not get controlled very good and can cause no starts and stalling.

New 6.9 IDI - Deciding if worth resurrecting or not

I wouldnt worry about the ether use. As long as it does not show a bunch of blow by, it is probably fine. I have seen starting fluid used horribly incorrectly on these with no apparent damage.

    Maxtow gauges

Make sure to have the sender mounted in a way that oil can drain back out of it. As much oil gets in the intake of these, I think even just being on a 90 could let oil accumulate in the sender.

    Explain Biodiesel for me?

I am sure there is something to that..... Just hate to see somebody that relies on a truck to be running oil through it cause the internet said it is perfectly safe and causes no issues, because that isnt the whole truth.

085 better spooling, zf5, and intercooled

Yes, but the 088 uses an integral exhaust housing, would need to fab up basically everything on the exhaust side, including a way to support the exhaust side of the turbo. Not saying it cant be done, but is much easier to do what you did, with an 085 kit, or a first gen banks or hypermax.

    Explain Biodiesel for me?

I dont even know what to say about wmo anymore, other than....it is not free....but it will still save huge amounts of money even with worn parts over time. If you are able to fix stuff yourself, there is a lot to learn. Fuel system parts are expensive for these now, 1k+ dollar injection pumps...
