White smoke pop/miss?
I'm thinking the timing slipped a little bit... putting the timing to about 1/8-3/16" advanced of pin timed should smarten it up nicely.. any EGT issues under load?- Rx7man

IH 466E troubles
Been a while since I've been here... Working on a 5 ton truck with an IH 466E, 1999 model I think.. it's got issues Before it quit running entirely, it was down on power, and could barely make it up a 12% grade in first, empty... From what I hear that's most likely the high pressure pump...- Rx7man

Horsepower Question
If it's smoking a lot, I'd recommend an pyrometer.. there's a good chance its running really hot too. It could have had injectors put in, it could have had the AFC and fuel plates fiddled with, and the turbo may or may not have been overbored. it's *very* hard to give an estimate on...- Rx7man

Called up a truck wrecker, he says the trannies and bellhousings would be pretty application specific, he could get me the IH engine plate, but I'd still be SOL for the bell housing... I'll go look up the tranny numbers now- Rx7man

We are in no hurry with this thing at all... it's been sitting 5 years and it'll sit another if it needs to. Perhaps using the bell housing from a S1600 would bolt to the Clark tranny?? I guess I'd need to get the engine side adapter as well and change the pickup one to the IH one.. don't...- Rx7man

Well, I guess I'll give you guys a full picture of what I'm working on.. one of those back burner projects.. We bought an old F600 truck with a bad 370 gas engine... Water got into the cylinders and cracked them when it froze.. so that engine is garbage. However, the truck only has 5,000...- Rx7man
