    Current radiator recommendations?

I have a Chinese one in my rockcrawler, mainly because it has a pretty good chance of getting smashed lol

    Current radiator recommendations?

Well, I figure the factory one lasted 25 years, and this one will last at least that long. I've read so many conflicting reviews of the Chinese ones, and I really don't like the idea of replacing every 2-3 years, even if they warranty those.

    Current radiator recommendations?

Yeah, I only found the FB page too. I spoke with them directly on the phone to set everything up. It wasn't cheap- right around $1000 which is Rodney Red territory.

    Current radiator recommendations?

My badass radiator from Dubs Thermal Products arrived today. While I only had a few minutes to unpack and inspect it, everything looks great! It'll be a bit before it gets installed but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

    Current radiator recommendations?

I tried to order a Rodney Red in December, and whoever I spoke with referred me to Dubz Thermal products. Guess he was too busy to make an old Ford Radiator. I ordered from Fran at Dubz, and should have it in the next day or two (recent snow has delayed shipping anything to Northwestern Nevada...

    Dana 60 swap options

Hey guys- been away a while, busy building a career and getting married again and moving and the list goes on. My trusty F250 has been treating me well, the little bit I drive it anyway. I did use it to haul my rockcrawler up from Vegas to Carson City when I moved last fall, and it’s pretty much...

    Ugh! Big problem?

Hey man! Went through this on a buddies old truck- the steering column bearings were SHOT. At the time (12 or so years ago, maybe more) the bearings and associated parts were available from Ford. There was some choice words involved in compressing the springs and stuff on the tilt column...

    Anybody rebuild starters?

I have the original starter I removed from my 92 F250 to install a DB Electrical. It was working, but cranking real slow. Anybody rebuild them successfully? Should I hold onto it or scrap it? Ryan

    Single mass zf 5 rattle

Very dependent on which clutch disc you run. I've been through this on mine. The "HD" disc doesn't have as many springs in the hub as the standard duty, and exhibited WAY more rollover noise. I swapped the clutch out for a standard duty unit and it's much quieter. I adjusted my idle up to...

    Dmf rattling like an smf

Which disc is in it? I had a real noisy Sachs SMF with a HD disc. Swapped for a standard disc and all is well. In the pics 10 springs in the disc is standard disc. 8 springs is the HD.

You can also upgrade to a thicker square cut Viton oring. I order mine from McMaster Carr.

    extra cooling.

Water Wetter is usually good for about 10º F. We use it our desert race car in the heat of Nevada and Mexico, and it helps. Our class demands a STOCK cooling system, with no modifications, and we push 37" Tires through the silt at wide open throttle on a 2012 Toyota Landcruiser. It'll hit...

    Power Steering Hose Fitting ???

Go to a Parker Store that actually makes and repairs hydraulic lines for heavy equipment. They should be able to fix you up. Worst case, buy the two hoses you need from Rock auto or the like, and take them down and have the hydraulics shop crimp a new flex hose section onto the two steel...

    Power steering cooler thought

I run a trans cooler mounted in front of the radiator on my rock crawler. It does the trick for my hi flow 1600 psi pump and hydro assist. I hear these are the trick setup though...

Can't get upper radiator hose to seal

I'm not sure it's the correct size- I'd have to measure to be certain. NAPA stocks those so you can likely get one local. I just posted that to illustrate the style. And as someone said, don't over tighten!

Can't get upper radiator hose to seal

smooth out the neck with a wire wheel, maybe smear a little sealant on it before you slide the hose on ( I prefer Toyota black FIPG) and use one of these style clamps in the appropriate size...

    A/C Suction/Discharge Hose 94 IDIT

Do you have the old hose still? Take it to a local hydraulic supply house. They can make you one easy and cheap. I just added AC to my 84 Toyota rock crawler, and the hoses were custom made in 24 hours and worked perfectly.
