I have a new hard line replacement kit from the lift pump to filter head if you want, Im in CT too. I just replaced my lift pump because it was leaking fuel. I had the hard line delete kicking around the house for a long time, bought it from mike green i think back in the day, but i didnt use...- HS108

Batteries
I had the advance auto Golds, lasted me 10+ years, but I just replaced them with "seconds" batterys from a local battery shop. 150 for both out the door- HS108

First and formost, Welcome. Secondly, I know money is tight, but you can end up costing yourself so much more in the long run with those cheap glow plugs. The Buru Motorcraft ones are the best and honestly cheap enough. Lastly, After sitting that long, gonna have to burn off a lot of stuff...- HS108

Glow plug troubles
I think you need a new wiring harness for the glow plugs, Even tho it may look good, the wires inside can be shot, that’s a lot of heat they take on top of the motor like that. From your list of everything you have replaced I don’t see a wire kit on there, yes you may have the 12v and the...- HS108

Good 3 way ball valve

Thoughts on running hot.
Its gonna get warm pulling, just using the dummy gauge is gonna be tough to tell what real temps are. As long as you arent over heating it you should be fine. I ran mine pretty good in the hills of PA, got up to the M and A, but went down after, Truck still runs solid- HS108

Fuel filter light stays on after filter change
Like beast said low pressure will also trigger the light. I would look at maybe you fuel pump starting to fail- HS108
