    CP3 Replaced

    Two weeks ago I noticed my truck had spring a leak, wet spots on the track bar, tie rod, and front diff. A little looking found fuel dripping if the CPS harness under the CP3. Leaky IP diagnosed and on the way. Replaced today. I know it wasn't leaking around Christmas as I had been under it...

    Also according to Cummins' press release on Feb 15, 2006 the HP is 325/750 That is the European/Commercial engine not the one that is going into the CC trucks. Slightly different bore and stroke numbers between the two.

    Understanding the CP3 fuel pump(D-max and Cummins)

    So, what happens when the pressures spike to the inlet? Is there immediate damage that cna happen or is it more of a long term problem? Seals in the pump that won't take a lot of pressure? There seems to be a large disagreement on whether the CP3 will take high pressure or it is much happier...
