Oh and one other note to add, if you decide to pull the glass out, once the tint is applied I trimmed off about 1/16 of an inch inside to ensure the tint doesn't get peeled back up on the edges upon reinstallation.
Lucky for me Illinois let's you get away with quite a bit, as long as you have nothing on your fronts you can black out your backs and rear, I love the black magic as a DIY kit, got it at wall world for cheap too... took me about 2 and a half hours to do the back mains and sectional pieces...
Where was the burnt wire and corrosion problem? I've checked all of my fusible links and they seem fine, so any suggestions of where to look would rock! I'll take the alt into advance tomorrow to get it checked out, maybe this one is bad now too... thanks!
My truck is doing the same thing exactly..did you get this figured out? I replaced the alternator with a used one I had laying around and it started doing this surging thing, I replaced the regulator and it did nothing. On acceleration voltage surges to almost 16 I really don't want an exploding...
