    so i have a 85 6.9 and my tie rods are acting funny. i just bought them like 6 months ago and they are the high quality kind but the bolt has lots of slop which is alowing play in my front end any ideas?

    hahaha i do love the smoke and no i will never buy a cummins lol well maybe the engine but not the truck and inter-cooler will be my project for the summer and if that does not help i will prob turn it down a little. and i dont have a boost gauge in my truck my aurora 2000 does not have a spot...

    whats the cheepest way about getting a intercooler? and how much does that help?i never let my truck get over 1100 and that even makes me mad my cruize temp on the freeway is 600-800

    hey thanks for all of your help to fix it i ended up making my own shims to put around the starter and it works great and the five speed is amazing. nothing like finally driving the old 6.9 down the freeway going 90 and listening to the ats whistle. lol

    so i just got done putting a ZF five speed tranny out of a 95 powerstroke in my 85 6.9 and the only problem is the starter the cone on the starter hits the bell housing so a found a starter out of a 7.3 and the shaft is too short to hit the fly wheel.... any ideas??
