Not sure how you plan on pulling a 25 psi vacuum when on earth, lol. But let us know how it goes… I’ve always had luck just filling it normally. Maybe I got trapped air but engine has been running for 20 years with no noticeable issues.
I run the amsoil dual bypass filter. Oil analysis comes back as excellent and can easily run 10,000 miles. Mounted the filter head on the frame rail. Super easy access to the filters.
There may be a designated inlet and outlet on the radiator but I don't know that it matters much. You can look in front of your condenser and see if you see another cooler and then just trace the lines. From what I've seen they're in series with the main radiator. Should be pretty easy to see...
This is 99% cavitation especially with it bored over and the spots you saw in the cylinder wall. My pictures in the article you can see the cylinder looks perfect except the water spraying through the wall, lol. Pressurize the cooling system and you’ll see it.
I run the dual bypass Amsoil filter setup. It seems to work pretty well. I did some oil analysis at 4.7k miles on the oil. The comments on the oil analysis were...
"Thanks for the note about the by-pass filter you had installed. You can see it's working well with your insolubles reading low...
Does Mel still have the Moose Truck? He was so hardcore into Diesels and his truck it's hard to believe he isn't on here anymore. I'm wanting to rebuild my engine soon and was looking at having Moose diesel do the injection pump.
Also, when I visited Travis in Indiania back in probably 2003...
No one made them for the van so had to build them myself, but installed the mini HID projectors in the clear headlight housing. Look real similar to that baja retrofit deal.
As far as I know the original proportioning valve was in that spacer dealie at the master cylinder. I installed a slightly larger master cylinder that didn’t have that spacer. I installed a new proportioning valve on a custom bracket right next to the new master cylinder. The original bore...
I just installed hydroboost on my 1992 E-350 along with converting the rear brakes to disc. I used a 1998 E-450 hydrobooster and built my own high pressure lines with a kit from Summit. It was a pain finding all the proper fittings but basically just converted everything to AN fittings as...
On mine, i put in new gaskets and RTV on both sides but not so much it squirts out all inside. I also then put cam lock washers on all the bolts and it hasn't leaked in years now. Make sure the covers are a straight as possible too/not bent.
You're only going to have marginal luck flushing the system if you're flushing through the evaporator and condenser. What happened to me is I flushed it best I could and basically just ended up dislodging a bunch of crap that then got sucked into the compressor later and blowing it up. I...
My Champion actually has sprung a leak, but they were great about replacing it. I called them up and the lady is super nice and helpful, sent me out a new one no questions asked really. I didn't have to send the old one back either. Other than my labor of having to replace it, I thought it...
I literally just went through something similar. Truck was actually in fourth, not third. It ended up being the MPLS. The computer couldn’t tell the lever was in drive do didn’t send grounds to the two shift solenoids to shift into the other gears while in drive. You can take the MLPS off...
So I don’t think I’ve ever seen this mod done before.
The polarization film on my LCD screen odometer was getting funky so I decided to replace it. I ordered some new film and while I was looking at it I noticed if turned 90 degrees the background could be black and the numbers clear, instead...
The F series do fit the E series. The only difference is slightly different fan shroud. I had to fabricate some aluminum brackets to make the fan shroud attach properly. I run the 4 core aluminum champion radiator for an F-350 in my 92 E-350.
