    Cooling Hot Seats?

Yes, I have thought about trying to find some seats out of another vehicle with cooling built in, but then you have to deal with trying to retro fit them to the vehicle and I really don't want to give up the current dual console setup. I even tried to get the dealer to swap me for some cloth...

    Cooling Hot Seats?

'06 Ram with leather heated seats. I live in Florida (read hot as fire except for the week of winter). I hate the HOT seats. Even after a few minutes of driving when the cab has cooled down, the seat is still fire hot because there is nowhere for the heat to go except into my back and butt...

Rokk Tech "silent muffler" noise levels

Installed the sensor last week, pleased with it. I appear to be getting about 1.5 mpg increase mixed driving, no towing with the sensor yet. The power increase is not huge, but it is noticable during accelleration and passing. I have yet to install the muffler yet. I wanted to know what...

    Rokktech Products

No, just ordered it Thursday. Won't be here till middle of the week. I prolly won't get to the muffler for a week or two. I'll prolly just put the sensor on first and run it for a tank to see if I can tell any difference then do the muffler. I like to try one thing at a time, that way I have...

    Rokktech Products

Ok, I ordered a silent muffler and a sensor. While on the site, I read about their Vibration isolation kit. Anybody tried it? My truck doesn't really vibrate, just the normal diesel feel and sound. What would it do?

    Synthetics worth it?

Holtser, why no synthetics and what makes Rotella T better than say Delvac 1300 or Delo 400? As I stated above, I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to diesel maintenance and I need to learn all I can. Synthetics served me very well in my gas engines and I wanted to go back that way with my CTD...

    Oil Change intervals?

I'm about to do my first oil change, almost 6k. I don't like to push the first change interval too far. I plan to go back with dino, excuse me, CVO 'till I get a few more miles on it. Maybe switch to synthetic around 15k. Any thoughts on switching sooner (or later)? Probably about 20% of...

    Synthetics worth it?

Ok, I'm ignorant. Please tell me what a bypass filter is, where the kit is purchased and how it's installed. Thanks

    Bought the new truck

John, blame the lawsuit happy American public. The lawyeers wouldn't have a job if we didn't keep employing them. It is high time we hold people responsible for their own actions. Coffee is hot and if you spill it on yourself then try to sue the one that sold it to you,m you don't deserve...

    My Next New Truck

68RE or RFE six speed tranny for '07.

    New to Dodge

My dealer down here said that anything other than exhaust would void the warranty as far as they were concerned. I guess a roktech crank sensor would be undetectable as long as you swapped it out before going in for service. But a lot of the boxes and programmers leave some kind of telltale.

    My Next New Truck

Yeah, my last GM truck was my LAST GM truck. Brother-in-law traded his '03 Tahoe for an '06 Expedition a few months ago and he loves it. Says it is a much better vehicle all around than the Tahoe.

    new dodge,what to do?

I just fixed the reverse/horn problem by shorting the driver's seatbelt indicator wires together.

    Bought the new truck

Couldn't wait for tomorrow. Took me a paper clip, bent it around stuck in the connector to short the wires together like the belt is connected. Didn't even have to unplug it or cut any wires. To two minutes because I had to go back in the house for a paper clip. I always wear my seatbelt...

    Bought the new truck

As I said earlier in this thread, it's a great truck, but I would not have bought mine had I been aware of this problem. It has made me hate the truck. I followed my dealers suggestion and have been driving around with the horn unhooked while I've been waiting for a reply from Dodge. But that...

    Advise needed

As you may have read, I just bought an '06 2500 QC with a Cummins. This is my first diesel and I could use some operating and maintenance advise, but what I really want to know is which mods increase fuel mileage without sacrificing durability or quietness, forgive my sacreligious statement, but...

    Bought the new truck

Ok, tested today and found that only the drivers door sets it off, not the passenger doors. So I guess that gives me something to go on. This week-end I guess I'll pull the door switches and see what wires go where. If worse comes to worse I'll cross wire the passenger and drivers door...

    Bought the new truck

Appears to me that anything that can be programed in ought to be able to be programed out. A switch on the horn power wire might be a workable solution. Maybe I could figure a way to have it automatic by connecting a normally closed switching relay to the backup lights that opens the horn...

    Bought the new truck

Ok, I bought the new truck. '06 2500 QC SB, Laramie, Cummins, 48RE, 3.73AS. I love the truck except for one issue. The friggin horn blows when I open the door to look back while backing a small trailer. Sounds like I'm nit picking, but I really would not have bought the truck if I had been...

    Drove some new trucks...

Does any one the particulars of the "On the Job" incentives for business owners? I know they give a $300 allowance off the top, but the website also lists a $500 credit each towards an exhaust brake, tool box, and side steps or running boards. Can these be combined or is this an either/or deal?

    Drove some new trucks...

Oh yes, the truck in question has leather 40/20/40 seats, not buckets as I thought. So I guess that I'm gonna try to cut a deal.

Sitting on the leather was ok except my back was sweating. Remember, I live in Florida.

    Drove some new trucks...

Oh yes, I'm buying it for my business. I have a mobile business installing marine electronics on boats. I'll be manuevering boats around and I'll also have an enclosed work trailer and I try to park it as close to my work as possible. This often requires some mauevering thru crowded boat...

    Drove some new trucks...

Thanks for the replies. The U-joint thing makes perfect sense on the turning radius, I was just wondering if anyone else noticed this, or it was my imagination. On the seats, I agree that cloth is more comfortable than leather, but I don't think I can get a Laramie w/o leather. And it has...
