I dont understand why you guys bring up injector cost when thinking about a psd.the psd injector will last 300,000 if you keep the fuel and oil clean.unlike the idi there are no return lines that leak if you sneeze on them, no 600 dollar injection pump,
The psd is a very good engine.just as...
Laziness I guess.plus never gave it much thought since it took a month just to get brakes on it when I bought it.the last one I did just wouldn't work right.couldn't get a pedal to save my life.
The repair plate is what garages and tow companies use to move cars.we dont have temp plates
I know its been said a million times but WOW!
Unfortunately I cant hit the streets with it yet.but moving the beast around the yard I can feel the difference.much better pedal feel.never felt brakes like this on an f350! Gonna have to borrow a repair plate so I can really try it out.one thing...
Check the wiring harness for the filter sensors and icp.years of diesel being spilled during filter changes eats and softens the insulation on the wires.this can cause what youre experiencing.
The low power, shutting down can also be caused by the cps.if you should be keeping a spare cps and...
You need every bit of wiring from the donor including the taillight wiring.taillight wiring can be spliced if you want to do it.for the idi e4od to work with the psd you will need to swap the solenoid pack in the tranny.
For the time and money you are gonna spend youd be ahead of the game by...
Im still around.
Stock 95 psd will see a max of around 16 psi boost. "t" the map sensor hose.the hose comes of the passengers side intake up to the firewall.
The fuel line youll need for the fuel leak I believe is 5/16,.make sure you get line that is rated for diesel.the filter housing has...
My pedal needs to be modified.have to remove everything as the pin appears to be pressed in.I have the clutch/brake pedals out of the donor.not putting them in until I get everything for the 5speed swap.
To the guy that says there isnt a hydro specific pedal for this truck with auto tranny.94...
The donor was a 5 speed.I have no problem welding to the pedal.do I have to pull everything apart to get the pedal out? Or is there enough room to slide the shaft out?
I have what appears to be an onboard air setup with bracket and compressor and belt.doesn't look like a home made setup.
Also have all the brackets and pullies for serpentine belt including the alternator with wire harness.
Also have a fairly new glowplug controller and relay.
I cant...
Any interest? I gotta look at and pull a nose this week.I dont know if its any good but the truck is supposed to be rust free.pm me cell # or email, ill send pictures when I get it apart.
Im too lazy to read all posts.
Youre concerned that the 7.3 psd costs more to maintain than an idi? the extra cost of maintenance is only the price of a couple extra quarts of oil at oil change.keep the fuel and oil clean youll have a trouble free engine that doesn't need injectors or ip...
Fixed it.
Under the black plastic trim in the drivers front door jam where the wiring harness runs along the rocker.there is 6 green/yellow trace wires that are supposed to be crimped together.mine was full of green corrosion.snipped it out and soldered them back together.all lights now work...
Cant imagine that my 95 is any different than 92-94.
My dome lights only work when the passengers front door is open or the headlight switch turns them on.map lights don't work at all.have no power to the other 3 door switches.
Is there a common problem with them? Where do the wires go so...
Go to superdutydiesel.com .search the 94-97 forum for a post by me titled "melted piston" show your friend what happens when you go above 1250 for too long.
The air filter upgrade you want is the TYMAR.you can make it yourself all you need is a chunk of 4"exhaust pipe with the proper bend in it, I believe its a 45 degree bend.and the filter, I believe napa part#6637 (ill check mine later).only thing you wont have is the fancy bracket wich you can...
