My '90 was acting weird, the switch (on to of the column, under the dash) was broken and falling apart. Cost a few dollars and less than an hour to fix.

The difference between 16" and 16.5" is the bead angle, and the 16.5" bead angle fails a LOT off-road. They haven't been popular for years as a result.

If that's a '61, I think it has a 223 - the 240/300 didn't come around until later. Ought to have a BW transmission and 9" rear end, too.
Needs an FE/C6 or 460/C6!

I drive my '90 in Houston traffic regularly, that clutch is stiff but it isn't too bad. I need to finish fixing the air conditioning, and install a working radio... and this:

I'm kind of curious the outcome of this, I keep seeing Gen1 kits available for reasonable money in various stages of completeness and think my '90 might benefit.
