The interesting thing is,why are you missing that fuse?ive got 3 trucks here that all have it.these are all 2wd trucks so i cant comment on the 4wd part.
Have you owned it since new?too bad you werent close,id definately be able to figure it out if it were in front of me.i deal with these...
That truck is a late 99.i have an 02 i can look at if the dash harness is still in it.they took all the underhood harnesses and the dash is layin on the front seat.
I have a 99 here.
Is this the connector you found?
This is the clutch pedal conector jumper.there are jumpers embeded in the plastic cap.with it unplugged, this truck wont crank over.
I havent read the whole story on this.
Not starting in park or neutral so i assume youve been jumping the solenoid to start it?
Have a remote start in it?alarm?
Ill have to go figure out youtube.
I know its too much.it was funny.me and my buddy were laughin our asses off.i think it puts out more than the turbo.im gonna have to rev it up tomorrow just to see what it does.
Poor bastard just payed me 1000.00 to put a motor in his other truck plus...
Dont have a compression tester for them anymore.i have video of it if i can figure out how to post it later.
It got to the point where it would not start at all unless plugged in all night.ether wouldnt get it to start.he still doesnt want to believe it needs a motor
This was funny.
So i put injectors in a 99 7.3.told owner months ago that the motor was junk.intercooler and pipes were full of dirt.i mean caked about an inch deep in the bottoms of the pipes.previous owners didnt think the clips on the airbox were important.
If you start it with the...
As far as i know synthetic atf only.youll burn it up with gear oil plus you may not even be able to shift it.
If youre dead set on using a heavier oil id go with either a motor oil like honda and toyota use in thier manual trannies or 30wt synthetic heavy truck transmission oil.
It was fine before the rear swap so i know its a gearing problem.the 550 was a line painting truck with i think around a 19 foot stake body always loaded heavy dragging a heavy equiptment trailer.wasnt gutless on hills loaded.
Im also dealing with a 2002 motor running on 1999 programming.i...
I just put the motor in it.there is nothing wrong with the motor.its geared waaaay to high.the 550s pcm has to be programmed to compensate for the tall gear and tires.the little f350 is only supposed to have little 225/16 tire not 245/19.5 tires.
Im gonna try the pcm anyways.aint gonna hurt...
Ok so i took a 550 rear, springs and all and put it under a 99 350. also has the 550s motor in it. drivers says its a complete dog on hills.should i swap the pcm too? would the 550s pcm be programmed for those gears and 19.5 tires? Both trucks are 7.3 autos.
Havent heard from him.been rainy all day.the ih sensor must be doin good.i had him throw the original sensor in the glovebox and explained why.
Thats just wierd.i have never heard of that before.i have another 99 that the driver was saying dies only in the rain.now i can fix that one.
Somebody told the owner it was the cps.i put an aftermarket cps in it,same thing.somebody replaced it recently as well.
A google search also came up with the cps being bad.i had him get me a cps from IH.gonna try that.if not, gonna try a wiper motor.
Strange.never heard of this before
