    Just unplug the ebpv.2 wire connector on the front of the base of the turbo.will not hurt or mess with anything.itll set a code in the pcm for ebpv innoperative.will not set a check engine light. Just dont let it idle more than 20 minutes or so when its really cold.

    If you have no voltage to either wire in the plug,it cant be charging.one wire goes to the light.the other should have power with the key on. Did you wire the new plug correctly?

    With 94-97s it was fords fault they sucked in dirt through the badly designed air filter a cheesey thin orange boot. They fixed the boot in 99 but went with a poorly designed air filter again.
