    Need help starting issue 93"n/a

Pretty sure the GP controller is NOT supposed to click immediately. I suspect your harness may be damaged if controller and GPs are relatively new and the controller still doesn't work right. It's pretty easy to make your own harness if you need to. You might try rigging up a manual GP switch...

    Oil change interval

Not to hijack the thread but is WA state basically screwing over the older diesels based on weight? I ask because I've seen a surprising number of vehicles on the CA craigslist that have Washington plates. Just curious.

First Diesel, looking for some advice

With 240k on the e4OD I would bet it's close to needing a rebuild. Regarding your ABS light there is plug somewhere under your dash that needs to be grounded--no idea where it would be on a van. Once you have the wire grounded, turn on your ignition and watch the ABS light. It will then flash...

    Brake trouble

FWIW I had a similar brake issue a year ago. Bought new front brake lines, calipers, rotors, and pads but no matter what I did the pads on the passenger side would rub badly and the driver side wasn't much better. All parts were through NAPA and pads were the heavy duty Fleet-sumpn-sumpn pads...

    Which 33/38 gallon rear tank?

At the local gas station I recently saw a guy who had used one of those 50 gallon food grade blue barrels as a diesel tank--even had a hand crank pump on top. I don't know if it was just a short term transfer tank or if he actually kept the diesel in there. Anybody know if those blue barrels...

what coolant do you use and why?

You can also add the SCAs with a Penray Need-Release filter. I've never run one but the idea seems sound. Personally just changing out the FleetCharge every 3 years or so ain't that bad.

    pyro reccomendations

I have the Auber gauge on my rig and I really like it. I ordered it with red LEDs and it is very visible though direct sunlight makes it harder to read. I'm not into the "digital" look but it is nice to see at a glance that I'm at 1050 not 1150. I also appreciate the option of being able to...

    Baby on the way...

Nice! It always feels good spending money on something you WANT to instead of something you HAVE to. Very eager to see the dyno results.

    Electri Lift pump for 90cc?

How noisy would you say the Carter is? Can you hear it over the engine at idle?

    7.3 Engine RPM's?

My tach recently went wonky on me. Just tried cleaning the pickup and connector, the wires look OK but little improvement, though there was some.

So what did you do with your truck today?

This does the beg the question. . .did it see its shadow?

    School me on injector O-rings

I recently purchased a return line kit form Mel/CDI and I wouldn't hesitate to again. Even though I'm on the other side of the country shipping was very fast--ordered on Sunday evening thru ebay and pretty sure it was there Tuesday afternoon.

    Brake's and Vacuum Pump

From what I read you have to weld the pin. Right now finding a used pedal seems easier than teaching myself to weld.

    4WD on Dry Pavement

I use 4-Low with hubs unlocked, so basically 2-Lo, all the time. Have you tried that on the boat ramp?

    Brake's and Vacuum Pump

No idea how fast it should be but 20 secs sounds too slow for a system as critical as brakes. At idle I was getting hard brake pedal even with new vac pump so I swapped a used brake booster and got much better brakes while idling. Anyways, if you're only pulling 17 inches with your current...

    Metal shavings in coolant

At least you had the coolant filter on there. I bought a filler neck for my flatbed and it had a couple HUGE metal shavings in it. I think quality control has become more of an idea than a practice for far too many manufacturers.

    Brake's and Vacuum Pump

I believe spec for the Vac pump is 20 inches. A couple years ago I put on a new Dorman pump and it was right at 20Hg after install.
