    Injector Cap O-ring Durometer

Lube the injector grooves also, twist the caps a little when all the way On, that relieves any O'ring stress from installing them. Make sure the hoses don't push on the caps.

Massive coolant leak on block above starter

Where the coolant is coming out, that's the block heater. It looks like it's not to old, it has a rubber ring around it to seal, the sealing is expanded by a screw in the center of it. After draining the coolant, back off the screw and pull it out, the heater element faces to the right. If the...

How much boost should a stock 2001 7.3 run?

You can go up to 40 PSI boost with no damage, that is if you can get there on a stock engine. LOL.

do not buy remanned starters from orileys....

I ran into a web site that recommended you put a separate ground (Neg) wire from one of the the starter mounting bolt to the engine (battery Neg wire) bolt, use a Star washer on both ends. That is due to the poor grounding effect, the current has to travel thru all the bolt connections. Current...

    Fuel Sender Floats

I think I have one, not sure about the groove for the arm, have to look. Why don't you just solder up the hole. A little heavier float will show MT sooner, save ya $2400. LOL

    Block Heater

Yup, the block heater is screwed into the rear oil cooler/oil filter casting, just follow the wire to the truck front and you will find the plug, probably wrapped up on the drivers side tow hook. You would need a 120 VAC LED for a light in the Cab, but I would NOT like a 120VAC going into the Cab.

    Coolant sensor

It doesn't control anything upstream of the SWITCH, only controls voltage to the Cold Hi Idle, IP fuel control solenoid and IP Cold Advance Solenoid. Gary, it's just a damn ordinary SWITCH, connector terminals color don't matter. Engineers made it that way just so we could have a thread...

    6.9 IDI White Smoke

Change the glow plugs, then see how she starts cold. Replace GP's with Motorcraft/Beru only. Put a full can of SeaFoam in a low tank of fuel. Fill the filter in the outer holes with SeaFoam, run for 4-5 minutes, let it set overnight, start her up, after getting up to temp, how's it look then...

Idi vs power stroke oil coolers

One thing I know for sure is that the block heater goes into the rear OC casting. I had the differences in the two, but lost it on a puter crash.

    2-stroke oil in diesel

I believe Fed Law says Cetane has to be no lower than 42. Other tests say anything over 45 is useless. I wonder if Mel has found any indication that 2-stroke has been used when Re-building IP's and injectors.

    water in fuel lines frozen

Better get it thawed out today, gonna get colder than a well diggers a$$ tonight. After thawing out, disconnect fuel line at filter, connect a hose to it and pump in a bucket or something to get any water out. Found this in my radiator...

Why would any thing like that floating around in a radiator have any thing to do with your truck running rough. It can't get thru the Rad core tubes or the T'stat or from the heater core. Pitch it in file 13 and forget about it.

Manual glow plug button good temp fix?

When facing up on a steep hill if you don't have at least a half tank of fuel, you might be the lift pump is sucking air. If that cheap pump don't run when cranking, get rid of it.

    Re ring in frame?

"Jesus is my savior, and can be yours too!" I don't think He is going to be much help. Just give it some thought of what has to be done doing what your asking about. Drain oil and coolant before jacking, pull block drain plugs, or get a face full of coolant. Jacking engine up and holding in...
