    What gauge is the exhaust connection? What BTU is the furnace? That exhaust gas temp you quote seems awful high, that's a lot of heat loss for a furnace, most furnaces emit around 200 to 300 degree exhaust.

    Looking at the 127, the cast in CW, the curved side is 6 bolt holes away, on the 128, the curved side is 5 bolt holes away and the curved side is opposite from the 127. Here is the damper pulley difference between N/A and turbo that's why the different fly wheels.

    Here is the IP hole for adjusting the fuel. You could back the screw off 2 Hex, takes a 5/32" Hex wrench. Be careful taking the cover off, you can ruin the gasket easily. Use a mirror to find the hole as you rotate the engine. you can take the lemon shaped cover off the front of the IP gear...

    Call a RETREAD a retread, where the original tire has the treads recut. Call a RECAP a recap, where the original tire has all the treads cut/ground off and a molded cap with treads is then glued to the tire casing.

    Put the temp gauge in the rear tranny flange where a plug is. see pic. In that position you know the oil temp that's getting to the bearings. Who cares what the oil pan oil temp is, ya got all the hot oil falling back into from the Cyl. walls from the oil squirters.

    You also have to have your Tach working correctly, sender is mounted on IP gear housing. Your tranny is in so called limp mode, if you run it very long like that you'll burn it up. Forget about the TC lockup, it will be OK after you get the tranny shifting right.

    More, only allowed 5 pic's per post. 1st pic is where you can remove pipe plug for an oil pressure gauge. For an EGT you can drill and tap on the underside of the drivers side exhaust manifold between 6 & 8 cylinders.

    A truck that old probably has the tank fuel pickup (shower head) disintegrated or fallen off, you need over a 1/4 tank of fuel to keep from stalling out or running rough.

    In this extremely cold weather if you have the least amount of water in the fuel system it could freeze in the suction lines. I would get a bottle of Diesel 911 and pour the whole thing in your fuel tank.

    Wiggling those fuses probably made them make contact, those spring clips the fuses fit in can become corroded or bent so the fuse doesn't make good contact, make sure the fuse SNAPS in them.     My truck wont cut off

    The IP FSS cover has to be put ON so the Solenoid Arm is defiantly behind the fuel shut OFF tab. See Pic's. Or you will have a runaway engine.
